Typically, the roles we recruit for are intermediate to senior-level and above, reflecting the high level of expertise and experience our clients require. Because of the nature of our fee structure, we don’t typically recruit for junior-level positions.

Our focus on mid-to-senior roles allows us to provide exceptional value to both our clients and candidates, ensuring that we match the right talent to impactful opportunities.

Yes, we offer career advice, but with a personalized approach. For candidates we are actively working with, we provide tailored guidance to help them navigate their career paths, whether it’s optimizing their applications, preparing for interviews, or evaluating opportunities.

We are also transparent and honest in our advice - if we believe staying in your current role is better for your career growth, we will encourage that, as our priority is always what’s best for you in the long term.

No, candidates do not need to pay for our services. At Axis Recruitment, we partner with employers who cover the cost of our recruitment process.

We recruit across Canada, the United States and Mexico City. Our strongest presence is in Canada, including cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, and Halifax. In the U.S., we support firms in key design hubs like New York City and the Boston area. We also work with select clients in Mexico City.

Most of the roles we work on require candidates to already be legally eligible to work in Canada, the U.S., or Mexico. While we welcome internationally trained professionals, we currently do not support relocation roles or provide immigration assistance. If you’re already based in one of our core markets and meet the job requirements, we encourage you to apply.

It depends on the firm and region. In Canada and the U.S., hybrid roles are increasingly common, especially in cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and NYC. Some firms still prefer in-person, particularly for design collaboration. We'll always clarify this upfront during the hiring process.
